Creare una borsa utilizzando esclusivamente la materia prima e le cuciture. Rinunciando ad accessori o minuteria metallica per assemblarla o per articolarne le parti.


La differenza tra un prodotto veramente artigianale e un prodotto industriale è la possibilità di interagire e conversare
direttamente con la persona che ha pensato, progettato e realizzerà l’oggetto, l’artigiano. Immagino la borsa come oggettificazione di questa speciale condizione, come punto di partenza per un dialogo, per questo motivo la scelta è stata quella di creare un metodo di costruzione ( non un modello ), una composizione di elementi che coesistono in diverse configurazioni e che possono essere applicati a tipologie diverse di borsa.

Il cuoio, manipolato e cucito, diventa il materiale principale responsabile dell’effettivo funzionamento delle singole parti: i componenti strutturali con la funzione di dare solidità a quelle parti della borsa che subiscono molto stress; 
manici spallacci e tracolle, attraverso le quali il “contenitore-borsa” può essere trasportato con praticità; 
il sistema di apertura e chiusura della borsa, basato su gesti naturali e capace di tenere al sicuro gli oggetti al suo interno;
un fondo solido, con una costruzione semplice e prima di tutto facilmente riparabile e sostituibile, come una suola di una scarpa.

Tutto questo identifica il metodo costruttivo, i singoli componenti diventano i fondamenti dell’idea iniziale e si trasformano in strumenti attraverso i quali si può progettare qualcosa diverso o nuovo ogni volta.

By forgoing accessories or metal hardware to assemble or articulate its parts.

The difference between a truly handmade product and an industrial product is the ability to interact and converse directly with the person who designed and will make the object — the artisan.
I imagine the bag as the objectification of this special condition, as a starting point for dialogue. For this reason, the choice was made to create a method of construction (not a model), a composition of elements that coexist in different configurations and can be applied to different types of bags.

Leather, manipulated and stitched, becomes the main material responsible for the actual functioning of the individual parts:
The structural components, which provide solidity to the areas of the bag that undergo the most stress;
Handles, shoulder straps, and crossbody straps, through which the "container-bag" can be carried practically;
The opening and closing system of the bag, based on natural gestures and designed to keep the contents safe;
A solid base, with a simple construction that is, above all, easily repairable and replaceable, like the sole of a shoe.

All of this defines the construction method, where the individual components become the foundation of the initial idea and turn into tools through which something different or new can be designed each time.
